Day 6

Proverbs 3:19-33

The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens;...

...My son, do not lose sight of these— keep sound wisdom and discretion, and they will be life for your soul and adornment for your neck...

The whole of creation has come from the Wisdom of God. We couldn’t even begin to know the limitless mind of God, He knows everything!!! He placed everything created in its specific place, and he’s designed it al by His own discretion. He is the ultimate source of wisdom. We have access to that wisdom through our faith, so we trust Him and ask Him for wisdom that we can have the same mind that Christ had.

Day 5

Matthew 21:19

And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, “May no fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once.

This tree wasn’t cursed because it was barren. It was cursed because it’s was masquerading as fruitful when in fact it was fruitless. You see fig trees usually get its leaves AFTER the fruit has grown. So when Jesus saw the leaves he approached it expecting fruit only to find none. That was exactly the case with Israel at the time. They were spiritually barren; but were always showing off how deeply religious they were. We’re not to be like that. We’re praying for our character and thereby our fruit to be like Christ’s; compassionate, loving, forgiving, prayerful, gentle, patient, self control, humble, servant-like, merciful and obedient to the Father.

Day 4

Matthew 12:36-37

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

WORDS ARE POWERFUL. They carry so much meaning, and usually are an indication of whats inside of you being expressed. In this case Jesus is saying your words give an assessment of your spiritual level or the condition of your heart, and in the time of judgement our words will be used to weigh us. It does not mean that we will lose salvation, but this shows us how even idle words often do not bring glory to God. So we pray for spiritual growth through the help of the Holy Spirit so that what may be inside of us and ultimately comes out will be reflective of Gods Glory.

Day 3

Pray for us to be led by God as Sons

Matthew 12:49-50

Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Jesus uses this opportunity to teach an important truth. Jesus has a family related by blood but He also has a greater family. Jesus emphasises the importance of the spiritual family which we belong to with God as our father, it’s even greater than the family we are in now. He’s not renouncing his family at all, but showing that those who put their faith in Christ as the Messiah sent by God they do the will of the father and they are His family. So then as Christ family let us pray for greater unity and love and strength within ourselves.

Day 2

Luke 14:26-27

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.”

Choosing to be Christ' disciple means choosing to put Him first. even in front of family, kids and friends, work, lifestyle etc.  We pray that we may put Him first at all cost.

Day 1

JOHN 3:16-17

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

New believers and old, need to be reminded of this very important prayer; without seeking and praying for God's saving grace, there is no grace for us at all.

21 Days of Prayer / Welcome

As a church we’ve determined to be a church led by prayer.

We’ve set aside the first weeks of the year to pray, seek God, fast and become more closer to him as we seek his guidance in the coming year, as well as His desire for our lives. It’s a time when we press closer to Gods heart and when we go beyond the physical into an intangible experience with Him. And anyone can join. The whole church is joining together.

We’ll post up scriptures and prayers on a daily basis, to help us walk through the21 days, so keep checking back each day so you don’t miss out.

And finally - we’ll meet daily online via conference call as a unit, each evening at 9.30pm.

We cant wait to see what will do within us!!!
